Ken entered professional competitions for the first time in 2004 to determine if his contemporaries would accept his style of photography and digital art as unique and ground breaking. In local competitions of the Photographic Society of America, Ken has won a distinction in every competition that he entered including “Photo of the Year” honors in every category.
Ken feels humbled to have been elected President of the Chicagoland Professional Photographers Association (CPPA) in his second year as a member. Ken retired from professional competitions in 2007 after becoming the only recipient of the Richard (Dick) Paul Award in the 40 year history of the CPPA. Ken also received 2 of the 3 James A McDonald Awards presented in their 40 year history.
